hello all sorry to have missed the Aurbers Ridge Cermony. Had planed to be there , but other plan,s overtook the event.
Had a walk planned to start in April with only 10 Persons going walking from Dunkirk to Cherbourg
for charity visiting as many war memorials as possable on the way .
I promissed to lay a wreath on the day Auber ridge cermony . this was done at 11.30 found a church with agood veiw over the sea Leglis de Varengeville (look on google) the local priest said he would hold a small cermony , a great turnout by the local people thy could not do enough for us .
About the group...twenty five in total consist of two navy persons three Royal airforce ,
remainder Army , five blind persons and one amputee.
reason for walk .. To raise mony for armed forces Charitys . help for the service men and women returning from afganistan , iraq We started on the 17th. April 2009 and finished on the 23 may 2009 Total distance 509 kilometers ..
Amount raised so far is £3,299. and 568 euros

Well done, Cossak! What a fantastic achievement! You must be feeling very pleased with yourself and rightly so. And, on top of all that, you found the time to lay a wreath.
If you are happy to PM your address through to me, I’ll add to that amount and I’m sure that other Forum pals would be happy to do the same.
