Hi,

One of my relatives MICs states he served in the RAMC and also the R Warks regt, although it does not list a battalion. From his medals it seems he received the Indian GS medal with the Afghanistan NWF clasp (1919) suggesting he served in the R Warks after his time in the RAMC. I cannot find any detail that the R Warks Regt served in India, nor can i find any evidence that they received the battle honour that all other line regts received for this campaign. The Long, Long trail also does not list any battalion as serving in India in 1919.

The MIC entry is IND.GS.AFGN.NWFF.1919 which other forum members have interpreted as Indian General Service Medal with Afghanistan North West Frontier clasp 1919. His R Warks Regt service details are Pte Percival J Lett, Pte, regimental number 203872.

Any info on this one greatly appreciated, regards John
