Full Version: Sketches of the East Africa Campaign.
Great War Forum > The War On Other Fronts > Away From The Western Front > Sub Saharan Africa
206thCEF
From the Project Gutenberg eBook Collection.
From the author:The bulk of these "Sketches" were written without any thought of publication. It was my practice in "writing home" to touch upon different features of the campaign or of my daily experiences, and only when I returned to England to find that kind hands had carefully preserved these hurried letters, did it occur to me that, grouped together, they might serve to throw some light on certain aspects of the East Africa campaign, which might not find a place in a more elaborate history.
