Anyone interested?
If enough people respond affirmatively, I will appear at 2100 (UK time) on Saturday next, in Live Chat, with 40 music questions.
There will be Classical, Baroque, Punk, Swing, Military, Great War, 60's, Harmonica, Spoons, Comb and Paper. And Ska. Lots of Ska.
Nibbles won't be provided (there's a recession going on), but feel free to bring your own drinks and knitting.
Spot prizes as usual, and rosettes in all classes.
Let me know if there will be enough bodies to make it worth my while. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

Sorry Steven,
We will be 4 hours into a flight and so not in a position to join.
Good luck to everyone else.
I'll try to get some cup cakes made up and sent by way of apology.

I'll try to be there if friends and family leave me in peace on that night!
Gosh, haven't been to a quiz here for years, wondered if they were still ongoing. There isn't much in that list that musically I have any knowledge of but sometimes in the past I managed to score 1 point!! I'll come along for the craic, bringing my own nibbles, never trust anything left on the bar - full of germs and umentionables
Quizzes here used to be a lot of fun as I remember
Thanks for posting here, I opted out of the other place

The Sky-ska round, along with the Virgin Trains military music round, will both be keenly contsted!

Sponsored by Santander banking group (I wish).

As a shareholder in Santander, I shall be writing to Spain to query this dreadful waste of my money in sponsoring various animals to take part in a quiz!

Sadly, few pieces of ska appear to have been written for the bag pipes.
Unless someone can correct me?

That would be telling. I can confirm, however, that there will be questions on music of all genres and nationalities...

I am sure that any person competent at playing the pipes could manage Ska - it is only a change in the rythm, time and tempo with adjustments in the notation to suit. Choice of tune might be a problem though.

Stranger things have happened. The Review March of the Argentine Navy is "St Patrick's Day in the morning". A combination of that well known tune and another Irish tune.
And there is a bagpipe part for when they can get hold of a piper.
