Have just got back from North Wales and have taken photos of some village war memorials. These links should take you to the pictures. I will post more as and when I take them (usually every 2 months or so); they may be of interest to someone !!

Thanks for those. Porthmadog has a rather spectacular war memorial (on the edge of town on the road to Tremadog) if you didn't know about it already.

I have now, with the incorporation of Garry's pictures, put these online on the Roll of Honour web site with transcriptions and some research. These can be found from the Denbighshire county page:

North Wales: LLandudno, pt 2 of Colwyn Bay, Penmaenmawr, Dolgarrog, Trefriw, Tyn-y-Groes, Conwy, LLanfairfechan and Bangor
Anglesey: Beaumaris, Gaerwen, Gwalchmai, Holyhead, LLanfair PG, Brynsiencyn and Church Island (Menai Bridge)

There are quite a lot.

Glad you like them. It's our generation's responsibility to make sure "they are not forgotten." Will the next generation be as keen?????
