I thought some of you may be interested to know that a book containing Frank Bellamy's illustrations 'The Story of WW1' is due out in Novemeber. I happened to be browsing Amazon and was pleasently surprised to see it being made available. It's £23:75 which may be a little pricey for some unless you're a fan of Bellamy's work like myself.

The book is a compilation of episodes that my fading memory tells me were originally shown in Look and Learn magazine. The text by Michael Butterworth that accompanies the art will therefore be aimed at the younger person but if you appreciate good pen/ink and wash type illustration you may want to check this out.

For those who may not be familier with Bellamy's work he was the artist who did the Garth newspaper strips, the Dan Dare strips for Eagle comics together with Robin Hood, King Arthur and Frazer of Africa amongst others. My copy is on order. I'll post a review in Novemeber when I've received it.
