I have just bought some postcards of British POW's on the Somme in October 1916. I have seen the pictures before and some info about who the British POW's were. However, I have a mind like a sieve and cannot remember. Cany anyone help me please. Sorry about the poor quality of the picture.

Hello Terry,
Both of these are featured in the book 'General Otto von Moser Feldzugsaufzeichnungen 1914-1918' when he was with the 27th Division fighting near Guillemont in August 1916. I have seen these printed in other books as well. The one with the man looking at the doorway is marked In front of the division headquarters. The other simply British prisoners.

Ralph is right: All these photographs come from a (selection), for sale to soldiers of the 27th ID. I have the list, and the photos marked 13S/14S/15S/16S have the mention 'Gefangene Engländer vom Sturm auf Guillemont'. All are taken in the period 28 july - 28 august 1916.
