Apologies for the poor quality first post...absolute luddite and I've been struggling with the sizing. Much hair pulled and PC almost through the window. Where are the kids when you need them?
Second time lucky.

Thanks for the bigger image - now I can really see what a great piece this is.
As well as successful execution, I think you have captured a great mood within the work. Emotionally there's a reaction - the secret to turning something good into something excellent.
The tones and desaturated hues really add to the haunting quality of the facial expressions.
More!

EoB.

Brilliant...
I love the fact that the wounded guy looks comparitively serene yet the guy helping him if not yet at the stage of the 1000 yard stare is at 950 yards and increasing.
Is it coloured pencil or conte crayon...I cant quite tell from the image on my screen?

All,
Many thanks for the replies....very much appreciated.
Gunboat, the basic drawing was lead pencil and then treated to some lightly applied coloured pencil.
