Hi there

Some assistance please with three matters all involving the loss of the store (ammunition?) ship 'Lady Cory Wright'.

I have traced her as being sunk by UC 17 on the 26 March 1918 apparently while carrying mines and ammunition at 49 45N 05 20W while en route to Malta.

U-Boat.net has her suffering the loss of 39 of her crew (out of 40). I have only the details of eight of those killed.

My questions please -

1. Would any one have details of all of those who were killed please? I seem to have lost Geoff's Search engine for WW1.

2. Would any one have an image of this ship please?

3. What was her status please? Plainly she had been (to use a modern description) 'taken up from the trade' as she had sailed for the Cory Colliers before WW.1. I have found some descriptions of her as HMS (which I have doubts about) - the 1916 Navy List shows her as a Mercantile Fleet Auxiliary and J J Colledge has her as an RFA.

Help please

Thank you

Gibeltarik
