The Rhodes Arts Complex in Bishop's Stortford has recently opened a small but intelligently curated WWI exhibition, running until 14th November. Entry is free, Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm, Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.

Entitled WW1.Book, its main focus comprises displays of Facebook-style pages dealing with 6 local men, combatant and non-combatant, with associated memorabilia. If you're in the area, it's worth 30 minutes of your time.
