Browsing a flea market today I just picked up a book entitled:"No Man's Land. A postwar sketchbook" full of drawings by George Pratt
It was published in 1992 by Tundra Publishing (ISBN 1-879450-64X) got it for a few pence and wandered home.
At first glance I thought it was a collection of contemporary (ie 14-18) sketches etc but upon reading the introduction when I got home I discovered that Pratt in fact did all the drawings in his New York appartment in the early nineties.
A quick google revealed he is a pretty well known graphic artist. I wondered if anyone here had seen this book or his work and what they thought of it? I must admit to being entirely ignorant of it until now.
Whilst I was looking up Pratt I ran into a project which he seems to have been involved with more recently: ENTITLED HILL789 it deals with Romania in the Great war - although I can't work out if the film has been released or.....
Looks reasonably interesting. There is also a link to a couple of Pratt's pictures to give an idea of what they are like HERE
I did a search and didn't find any threads about this but if I missed it - apologies in advance.
Chris
