(Ties in with a new book called 'We Hope to Get Word Tomorrow')

Thanks for posting this review Eirian.
I saw this book in Pen & Swords newsletter although there was not a lot of information about it. I just read the review and the letters contained within. Certainly the father was a victorian but it appears due to his position knew well what was going on in France. Looks like another book for the christmas list.
Some beautiful letters in that review.
