Does anyone have a picture, individual or group, of Captain J.A. Middleton MC, 101 Squadron?

His MC was gazetted on April 22nd 1918 and was for bombing an aerodrome and attacking rest billets and transport.

Also, I noticed that there isn't much written about this squadron. Are there any unpublished manuscripts kicking around that forum members are aware of?

Thanks!

There is already a book by Andrew Brookes (Ian Allen publication) called "Bomber Squadron at War" which is all about 101 squadron in both WWI and WWII - I am aware of it as my grandad is in it from WWII. I am at work so I do not have access to it but I'll look for you when I get home. About half the book concerns 101 squadron in the great war and it has lots of pictures.

Link to AMAZON copies of the book (if you are going to get it, please consider doing through the GWF amazon link - that way the forum gets a bit of the money!)

Thank you very much for the information. The description of the book on ABE seemed to indicate that the work only dealt with WWII. I will now seek it out!

Well having got home and checked I fear I misled you, there are only actually about 20 pages on WWI and although there is a group shot of squadron officers there are no names attached. There is considerably more on WWII and on the inter-war years than WWI although there are some accounts of raids, a basic chronology and some other interesting pictures but I did not find a reference to you man.
Cheers
