Aviation enthusiasts might find this site useful:

http://aerade.cranfield.ac.uk

As well as allowing access to more modern material, it can be used to view reports of NACA (the USA's National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics and the forerunner to NASA) between 1917 and 1958, and the annual technical reports of the UK's Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (ACA) and its successors ( the Aeronautical Research Committee and the Aeronautical Research Council ) between 1909 and 1954 (use 'Reports Archive' under 'Aerade Services')

(The 'A brief history of the ACA/ARC' page contains at least one error that I've noticed; it credits Busk with having designed the BE2 rather than just the introduction of stability modifications he was responsible for)
