Whilst looking around various websites, I came upon a film entitled Hitler: The Unknown Soldier 1914 - 18. It was released in 2004 (supposedly in the UK according to IMDB), Ian Kershaw/Stuart Russell. I have only been able to find it on Amazon.com and it doesn't seem to be available on the UK version (so Region is no good). It looks fascinating, especially as My Great Uncle was fighting in the same area of France at the same time. Does anyone know if it is available in the UK at all?

Many of the cheaper dvd players available are multi region, or simple to convert. The more expensive ones have the region set in firmware, and there are no hacks available. However there are quite few programmes around that would enable you to make a region 0 copy for your own use if you purchased the original.
Another option is to watch the programme on a PC. You normally switch the region coding about three or four times before it locks up, or add a second dvd drive to the pc, and allocate one to region 1. The drives are very cheap indeed now from firms such as Novatech and ebuyer.

Thanks Keith. I was just hoping that it was available here in the UK.
