Remembering today Major Lesser Joseph Samuels, Battery Commander of A/84 Brigade, Royal Field Artillery killed in action by a shell whilst doing forward observation. A kind and true gentleman.

Also remembered - 2/Lt Walter Sutton Rotherham, MM, CdeG who was with him of A/84 Bde who had recently joined the Battery.

Both are commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial.
