Remembered today, with Gratitude.

Private G/18072 Bertie Convill Tuck, 7th Battalion Queens Own Royal West Kent’s was born in 1895 in Hengrave, Suffolk. Bertie lived with his Grandparent’s Jesse and Rebecca Tuck. He was killed on 30/9/1916 aged just 21 years and is buried in Connaught Cemetery – Thiepval, France.

Bertie’s Uncle, Frederick Tuck was already dead, killed on the first day of the Battle of the Somme with 7th Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment.
