Can anyone shed light on the following vehicle please?

We have been offered a 1911 electrically powered lorry which we are told was built by a company named BERGMAN and served with the German Air Services during WW1.

If anyone has any info we would be very gratefull. biggrin.gif

Sigmund Bergmann was a colleague of Thomas Alva Edison. He returned to Germany in 1906 or 1907 and set up Bergmann- Elektriztatswerk AG. This built a range electric motors which were use in a wide range of electric vehicles produced by various manufacturers in a number of countries (including Britain). He had another factory that produced Edison batteries.
AFAIK they didn't produce vehicles per se (but I could be wrong). Are you sure this isn't a lorry powered by a Bergmann engine?
