In memory of Thomas Power, who served as Corporal 23681 in 5 Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. He died this day, 3rd October 1917, of wounds received on 23rd September in the area of Krupp Farm, Belgium (south of Pilckem), as a result of counter-battery shelling on 5 Siege Battery gun lines.

Thomas was born in Dublin, and lived in Plumstead, Kent. He enlisted in Woolwich in late 1905, and arrived on the strength of 5 Siege Battery as a Gunner in September 1914. He now rests in Mendinghem Military Cemetery.
