Remembering Today 28 year old Corporal George Wilcox G/11286 who was killed in action on this day in 1916.

George Wilcox from Deptford, London was D Company's bombers section N.C.O, who was killed by a shell whilst the battalion waited to take part in the attack on the Transloy Ridge.

He is commemerated upon the Thiepval Memorial.
