Browsing through casualty lists in The Times, 30 Mar 1916, I noticed the following:
WOUNDED
Newman, Lt. J., Graves Registration Commission.
This was, I think, Sir Fabian Ware's unit (the early beginnings of the CWGC) which was eventually incorporated in the British Army. I'm curious - does anyone know if there were any deaths recorded for this unit during the war?
regards,
Martin

Using Geoff's Search Engine to trawl the CWGC database, using "Graves Registration" as the search parameter, produces only one record:-
Name: CORNOCK-TAYLOR, GERALD OLDROYD
Initials: G O
Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Lieutenant Colonel
Regiment/Service: General List
Age: 34
Date of Death: 14/02/1919
Awards: C B E
Additional information: Son of John and Alice Cornock-Taylor, of Alvington House, Wimbledon Common, Surrey. Officer de la Croix de la Couronne (Belgium). He was Deputy Director of Graves Registration and Enquiries G.H.Q. (and Secretary to the Imperial War Graves Commission) from 13th Dec., 1917 until his death. Those under whom he served think it fitting to place on record in this book the great ability and the unstinted devotion that he gave to this duty, and the severe loss sustained by the Army and the Commission in his death.
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Grave/Memorial Reference: B. 32.
Cemetery: FILLIEVRES BRITISH CEMETERY
A nice tribute and one Belgian award I haven't heard of.
Hope that helps!
Quick edit: I see Geoff has already supplied you with a longer list "elsewhere"........ I wonder what parameters he used? I only got the one.....

Thanks, Kevin. Geoff found the rest by searching for GRAVE in the unit text. I was messing around with trying to get secondary unit to work, which Geoff says he was working on fixing but that work now presumably on hold, given the state of things.
cheers,
Martin
