Remembering today Private Alan Jack Dix 1st Norfolk Regiment who died on this day in 1917 attacking the Polderhoek Chateau near Gheluvelt. Nothing known of this soldier until very recently and with enormous help and support from members here, I have gained so much insight about this brave family member.
It appears he was posted missing presumed killed, then later Killed in action and found on the 27th November 1919 and moved to Hooge Crater Cemetery.
Enormous gratitude to members who have helped tell some of his story and enabled a visit at the end of this month to be even more poignant.

Rest In Peace - Not Forgotten
