Armidale.

You are not alone in remembering them. Alfred Cecil Dingle is my great uncle (and we share a birthday) so 14 October is always a specially poignant day for me.

May I ask why you are interested in this 'clan' - can I assume you are a Dingle yourself? I have a picture of Alfred I can send you a copy if you are interested.

Best wishes.

G'day Neil.

Might I suggest that you post a picture of Alfred to this thread. I will copy and pass it on to the AWM if you give me permission.

The motivation for the posting was a sincere thank you for your kindnesses in visiting Tubb and Schwarer in Poperinghe, and I'm sure the kids at Mt Barker High school would like to say g'day again.

Coincidently, my very good mate Bernie runs a private museum near Melbourne and the photo Of Tubb's grave taken in September 2003 was for his display which includes several personal items, uniforms etc, of Major Tubb VC. Bernie is not related to any of the 'clan' who are remembered above.

hope you enjoy the link.,,, http://www.imagecontrol.com.au/oldcmp/dingle1.html
