CWGC added the following 'new' WW1 casualties to its Debt of Honour database on Friday 9th October

Capt Herbert BRAND
10th Bn, Royal Sussex Regiment
Died 03.01.16 Age 47
Buried: Portsmouth (Highland Road) Cemetery, Hants, UK

Pte Robert LITCHFIELD
39712 12th Bn, Manchester Regiment
Died 25.04.17 Age 28
Commemoration: Arras Memorial, France

NOT FORGOTTEN

Capt Brand (Volunteer: Chris Harley)
- Died of epileptic convulsions and heart failure
Pte Litchfield (Volunteer: Steve Morse)
- Missing presumed dead

Captain Brand died at the Monona Hotel, Clarence Parade - his residence was shown as Auckland Road West, Southsea

Battalion history for 12/Manc indicates that, on 23/4, they had moved to Railway Triangle, midway between Arras & Feuchy, going into Divisional support during the night. No mention of the 25th but I presume they were still in support. They moved to the front line on the 26th.
