Remembered today, with Gratitude.

Rifleman S/19336 Alfred Ernest Tuck "B" Company, 1st Battalion, (Prince Consorts Own) Rifle Brigade.

Alfred was born in 1893 in Soho, London the youngest of Samuel and Christine’s 4 children, he spent his childhood living at 79, Pedro Street, Hackney, his Father and eldest Brother William plied their trade as Carmen. In 1913 when Alfred was 20 he married his sweetheart Daisy (Miller).

He was killed in action aged 24 on 12th October 1917, the first day of the First Battle of Passchendaele and is buried in Poelcapelle British Cemetery, Belgium.
