Hi
Anyone any thoughts on this book by Will Ellsworth Jones , just purchased it and waiting for it to arrive , anyone read it and your opinions please . Regards Ian
John Hartley
Found it an interesting commentary on the wider Edwardian society.

As to the account, the central figure is Bert Brocklesby, who was one of the handful sentenced to death for his objection. I am always much taken by folk who have conscience and act upon it - the most telling part of the man's committment comes in the closing pages of the book. He undertakes a simple act - and one which I have witnessed in similar vein and found extremely moving. Brocklesby was a man who I could admire - although I suspect I wouldnt have liked him very much.
