Hi
Private Davison is remembered at the Thiepval memorial.
His details as follows
Regiment/Service: Northumberland Fusiliers
Unit Text: 27th (Tyneside Irish) Bn.
Age: 22
Date of Death: 09/09/1916
Service No: 2028
From my research on the brilliant Long Long trail website, it seems he would have joined 4th Tyneside Irish Batallion within 103 brigade, attached to 34th division (possibly later attached to 37th division in August 1916.)
From the date he was killed in action, it seems he would have been at the battle of Ginchy, however the list of units listed on the Long Long trail site for this battle does not seem to include his division(s).
Anybody able to clarify for me please ?
Many thanks
