G'day all,
Just a brief note to advise that a new publication will be available in store (in Australia) from October 26th (probably a week earlier) entitled 'Over the Top'.
Edited by Chris Bryett - 'The Man in the Black Hat' for those that are familiar with Patrick Lindsay's "Fromelles" -this is the diary of a soldier of the 2nd Battalion AIF relating his experiences during the Great War.
I have been privy to a brief view of an advance copy and cannot wait to read the book in full.
Other sources have stated that it excels Will Davies' "Somme Mud".
Initially, the book will only be available in Australia. It is intended that Orion will release the book in the UK in May, 2010.
I will provide feedback once I have read the book.

Thanks for the headsup Sean. I look forward to it. I read Somme Mud last year and found it a very good book. This years Aussie book I have read is G.D Mitchells - Backs to the Wall which I found on par with Somme Mud. It will be nice to have another to the collection.

Regards

Iain
