The above is a link to a Youtube film originally made late in the USSR era by Mosfilm entitled "AGONY" and focussing on the Russian Home Front civilian aspects of the war: Rasputin, Duma, Czar, Orthodox Church. It is frequently interspersed with both Russian and other contemporary newsreel footage.
It is a docudrama that to my mind is fairly well done at least from a production point of view.
