I may be missing the obvious when trying the CWGC database, but is it in any way searchable for the German graves in its cemeteries. I could not seem to find a way off doing this. Alternatively is the German online graves database able to filter out these men in British cemeteries? I am trying to see if any men from the 55th RIR, 57th IR and 104IR are located in British cemeteries on the Loos front from 1915 to no avail.
Any tips appreciated
Chris

The Foreign Nationals in CWGC care are not available online.
Also CWGC does not hold any information on these foregin casualties other than basic name, date of death and service. No rank or unit etc.
If you are interested in a specific cemetery, send me a PM and I will see if I can help.

CWGC is only responsible for their maintenance by agreement with the foreign governments. They are not a responsibility under their Royal Charter as are Commonwealth War Graves.
CWGC will supply details of these graves if your request a print-out of burials in a particular cemetery.
The same applies to non-world war graves which are in their care by agreement with other authorities.
