Does anyone know what the weight of the SBR was? What was the weight of a new canister fully filled with the filtering agent? Curious how much it added to the soldiers kit.

I asked much the same thing myself a few years ago - my now restored SBR certainly behaves differently for having a filled filter than the copy with an empty filter I'd previously used! 2lbs is about right, see the very end of post 8:
