Remembered today, with Gratitude.

Private 30118 Charles Victor Roy Tuck 5th Battalion, Ox & Bucks Light Infantry Regiment.
Charles was born in Crewkerne, Somerset in 1898 and lived at 59, Gouldsbarton Road with his Parents James and Rosina and his 2 Brothers Ernest and William. Charles’ Father was an Insurance Agent. Charles Died of his wounds on 23/10/1917, aged just 19.

He is buried in Abbeville Communal Extension Cemetery, France.



Driver 58365 Harry Tuck "A" Battery XCVIII Brigade, 22 Division, Royal Field Artillery

Harry was born in Cookham Dean, Berkshire in 1894 and lived at 43, Ventnor Cottages, Cookham Dean, 1 of 8 children born to his Parents Edward and Bethia.
Initially along with the rest of 22 Division Harry arrived in France in early September 1915 but by late October/early November they had embarked for Salonika spending the rest of the war in this theatre. Harry died in a Military Hospital in Malta on 23/10/1918, aged 24.

He is buried in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta and is commemorated on Cookham Dean, War Memorial.
