Can anyone help with a translation of this term?

Lange des Geschoss mantels.

I thought it meant 'length of bomb' i.e. not including the length of the fins, but underneath on the sketch I have is note, 'Dicks des Geschoss Mantels'. In principle this would mean 'thickness of the bomb' which sounds nonsense, especially as the diameter of the bomb is given as well. I can only imagine that it means the thickness of the fins, but I'm not sure.

egbert
length of projectile (measured is the length ((-dimension)) of the outer shell)
Siege Gunner
Length and thickness (or gauge) of the outer 'jacket' of the projectile.
egbert
No, its not the gauge nor thickness
