I have been asked by a friend if I can help her identify this memorial, which she thinks maybe in Scotland as the other pics in the photot album this is taken from are from there.
Any help from the scottish memorial experts would be much appreciated.
Regards, Tommy.

Not Rutherglen I'm afraid. You can see Rutherglen
hereAnd it's not in Dumfries and Galloway either. Sorry, someone else will be along soon no doubt.
If you don't get an answer here, please try posting a question on the Scottish War Memorials Project.

All I can say is that it is not in the Scottish Borders, or Orkney, or Shetland.

Looking at the picture it is possibly next to water - could be the sea.

Done some more digging before I posted on the Scottish War Memorial site and with some luck noticed this. I now think it could be Greenock War memorial - what do you think?

No doubt about it. It's Greenock.

Cheers Ian
All my friend now has to do is work out the Greenock Scottish connection with someone from Belfast.
