Purchased this at the Wellington Tunnels Arras GREAT WAR ARCHAEOLOGY by Yves Desfosses, Alan Jacques, Gilles Prilaux. ISBN 978-273-7373-4817-4 Deals with areas around Arras that have been developed and the finds

I purchased it there a mate said he could get it cheaper on Amazon but it does not appear in there searches so he is now kicking himself anyone else aware of it and your views on the content?

303man, I have the book you mentioned. Haven’t read it properly yet as I only purchased it yesterday afternoon!
It certainly looks extremely interesting on a quick perusal though… smile.gif

A great little book written by people with a terrific understanding of the subject. I know Alain Jacques has a formidable body of work behind him and expect the others do too. BTW, Alain Jacques is head of the Service Archéologue Municipale in Arras. Highly recommended.

I finally got round to buying it, and found it a fascinating study of a complex subject, with some amazing illustrations. Highly recommended from me.

Noticed this at a local indoor market, went back after drawing my pocket money and it was gone
