I picked this up at a local postcard and collectors fair in Belfast earlier today. I know it's not local to Northern Ireland and was wondering if any forum pal can tell me which Memorial it is. There are no clue's on the back of the postacrd either I'm afraid and whilst I can make out part of the wording it provides no clue as to it's location. Given the number and extent of the wreaths and floral tributes etc I would hazard a guess the picture could have been taken perhaps in the 1920's or 1930's. Any help would be appreciated and if anyone wants a better resolution scan just let me know.
Regards, Tommy.

I have had a look through Derek Boorman's book 'At the going down of the sun', but did not spot it. Sorry.

Looking at the landscaping (wooden edging boards & apparently newly layed turf) this memorial looks to have been newly built and it strikes me, from looking at the top, that it might not have been complete at the time the picture was taken; possibly a statue or capping stone had yet be placed on the top?
