Hi All,

I've got a few hours to kill in Sheffield tomorrow. Is there anything/anywhere to visit with relation to the Great War?

Regards,

Steve.

There is an intersting war memorial that was moved from a station to near the Royal Victoria Hotel

Hi Steve, if your just in town,
there's the Cenotaph. A look at St. George's Chapel in the Cathedral would be on my list. This is dedicated to the York and Lancs. There's also about half a dozen Rolls of Honour dotted about in there as well. Also the Local Studies if you've time in the City Library, for anything specific. Just 100 yards from the library, on Surrey street by the side entrance to the Town Hall, is where the City Bn. lined up for a parade before they went off to war.
So point to point the Cenotaph, Cathedral and the library is a ten min. walk max.
