Found this whilst trawling through local news site (you have to watch the incoming advert first):

Watched it and found it fascinating, the thing I don't understand is how they got footage shot from the wing of the plane that shows Richthofen and his observer "in action".
I thought that all film cameras were hand-cranked at that time, certainly Malins's was when he filmed the Hawthorne ridge mine going up in July 1916.
Anyone out there know anything about how these action shots may have been taken?

Very interesting but it certainly isn't newly unearthed. Have seen these films many times before in the past. How they can claim it to be Richthofen is beyond me.

One claimed MvR standing next to Goering is definitely Bruno Loerzer!
