Hello

I'm looking for any information regarding a DH4 shooted down near Aubercourt (Somme) on may 18th 1918. I would enjoy a picture of this plane

The aircraft you're interested in is probably DH4 D8401 of No 205 Sqn RAF, flown by 2Lt H C R Conron and 2Lt J Finnigan; both crew members were killed in action. The aircraft was last seen near Aubercourt during a bombing raid on Chaulnes Railway Station.

A DH4 from No 205 Sqn is below.

Dear Gareth

Thanks a lot, it is very usefull. Would you be so kind to indicate me your sources ? (i.e : is there a special book with all those indications?)

Three books were useful:

'The Sky Their Battlefield' by Trevor Henshaw, ISBN 0 898697 30 2;

'The DH4/DH9 File' by Ray Sturtivant and Gordon Page, ISBN 0 85130 274 2; and

'British Aviation Squadron Markings of World War I' by Les Rogers, ISBN 0 7643 1284 7.
