Hello everybody,

Was it possible for civilians to transit to and from the UK France using the Ferries throughout the war. If so were there any restrictions place upon them and were ferries purely civilian or a mix of civilian and military.

I know that it in 1916 the French ferry the Sussex was attacked and damaged by a U-boat, so there must have been traffic of some sort.
