Shudder!!
Excellent, Soren.

Soren,

Do you know Benjamin Brtten's War Requiem? BB combined the poems of Wilfred Owen with the Missa pro Defunctis, and this poem forms part of the Offetorium. A distant Boys' Choir chants the Offertory "quam olim Abrahae promisisti..." in a way that has been likened to lambs being led to the slaughter. Coming, as it where, from beyond, the lightweight quality of the boys' voices takes a ghostly charachter. It is a piece of music than can send shivers down the spine.

Oh this is wonderful! Very apposite too as I've just been reading Hibberd's biography of Wilfred Owen.
