I have recently obtained some medals that belonged to a member of the West African Frontier Force, Nigeria Regiment. He died/was killed in Cameroon during April 1915, and is buried at the Limbe Botanical Gardens Burial Ground.
Can any forum members suggest books/articles/etc that I can use to obtain insight into fighting in this area?
Thanks,

Farwell's 'The Great War in Africa' will give you quite a good summary.

I'd recommend "The First World War in Africa" (Oxford University Press, ISBN 0-19-925728-0) by Hew Strachan as one that gives a good background to a largely forgotten theatre of war. It devotes roughly 40 pages to the campaign in the Cameroons.

There's an Official History volume for Togoland and the Cameroons.
