Does anyone have a list of the names commemorated on the 10th Battalion Royal Fusiliers (Stockbrokers) Regiment Memorial in St Michaels Church, Cornhill, in the City of London.

I work about a block from the church so I can stroll down and take a look for you

Right!
Just had a wander down there and there is a roll of names and the battalion colours. The roll has about 150 names on it. Was there a specific name you were after or would you like the whole lot? If it's the whole lot it could take me a while but if it's one name I could check it out pretty quickly. The information shows medals and date of death. From the sign on the door there are 2,150 names commemorated in the church altogether which includes all the local office workers so if you want that lot it could be quite a while!!
Let me know

Thanks for taking that stroll down to St Michaels, when I posted the message I was hoping for someone like yourself who maybe worked close by, the person I am looking for is L/C Maurice Day MM, KIA 1918, although any mention of the Day name might be useful, thanks again for your efforts.

I have just gone and had a proper lookand he gets no mention I'm afraid. No other "Day"s either. I found another panel behind the main one and there are about 500 names on all with serial numbers date of death etc. Beautifully done, all by hand.
Sorry there was no result

Thanks for doing that anyway Hambo, strange that, apparently he joined up with the 10th Battalion, but had transfered to the 11th when he was KIA 8th July 1918 and got his MM, the London Gazette states he was from Romford (which is correct), but he is not on their Memorial either, many thanks, John
