Hi all,

Trying to locate a missing CWGC casualty. I've been supplied the following info from St. Andrew's College, Grahamstown in South Africa. The following man is listed on the Roll of Honour WW1 for this school.

Any clues who this man may be or where he may be buried?

Norman Vivian de Beer, born 28/3/1899. Was at St Andrew’s for a year in 1914 when he was fourteen, he left to continue his education in Rhodesia. Though under age he joined the Graham White Flying School and in 6 weeks got his flying ticket. On 18th June 1916, the same day as he was gazetted to the Royal Naval Air Service he was killed in an accident in London (another source says a motor accident).

Any info would be great.

Thanks,

Ralph

I assume that you know this, but mention it 'just in case'. N V de Beer is also claimed by King Edward VII School, Johannesburg:

Also, by Milton High School, Bulawayo:

Maybe someone from either school might know more?
