"Yea though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me." Psalm 23:4
Desmond7
Scene good BUT .. and you know it .. you can do better with face.
I'd put it in hands.
Straight talk.

He's writing a letter

I would say he looks pensive as though thinking,

I like it as usual.

excellent work

i think that his face shows that he has come to terms with whatever his future holds. He has the comfort of those words, in which he believes.

If its for sale pm with a price please

He seems to be in a prison cell... Is he undergoing a court martial?

I got exactly the same impression the comfort from realisation that wheresoever he may walk from now on his God walks with him even unto the gates of hell

Great work

Thanks everyone, there were two things that I wanted to portray, one was that he had taken solace in the words and two that he was/is young.

But there are two levels which you, as a very accomplushed artist, could set this scene 'on'.

1. The straigthforward sentimental aspect - safe in the arms of Jesus/my faith looks up to thee scenario.

2. The darker side - he's young, he's facing death, he's sought solace in the scriptures and despite all his searching for faith/meaning/comfort .. he has found none. He's been through the horror of war and knowns .. dammit he just knows .. that death is coming.

3. Not another level .. but a suggestion. Do the same drawing with 'despair' as the focus , keep the same 'caption'.

Which one rings true?

Certainly food for thought Des

One of your best Soren. Agree with Des about the hands though.
