'lo All,

Can anyone point me to a transcription or copy of ACI 1137 1916 please?
I believe it deals with the transfer of 'smiths to the RFA.

Kind Regards,

Here is Army Council: Instruction 1137
6th June 1916

1137. Transfer of Shoeing Smiths from certain 2nd and 3rd Line Yeomanry units to Royal Field Artillery

In the interests of economy & efficiency it has been decided that all shoeing smiths of 2nd and 3rd Line Yeomanry units whose 1st Line have proceeded overseas dismounted, or 2nd Line who have been issued with bicycles, shall at once be transferred to the R.F.A. and posted to the R.F.A. Depot of the Command in which they are serving, for immediate drafting to the Reserve Brigades R.F.A. affiliated thereto, provided such men are fully qualified (and not merely cold shoers), and that they are fit for general service.
Privates will be substituted for shoeing smiths in the establishment of the particular Yeomanry units referred to above.
