I really enjoyed watching and reading "Jewel in the Crown" . The Jallianvala Bagh massacre was mentioned in the series . Does anyone know which regiment(s) were involved ?

Thank you Patrick . Wasn't your grandfather governor of the Punjab at the time ?

I think it was my son!!

Seriously though, Sir Michael O'Dwyer came from the O'Dwyer heartland around Kilnamanagh. We hail from further south. Very distant if any relation at all. I have a paper clipping of the event somewhere I'll see if I can dig out. PM me if I forget.

Thank you for the information .
I'm glad to discover my grandfather wasn't part of it .
Which county is Kilnamanagh ?
