As a small contribution back to the forum, if any member would like a photograph of a war grave or memorial located in Aberdeenshire I would be pleased to try and assist.

Roy,

That's a nice gesture. I was wondering - are you aware of the Scottish War Memorials Forum and the Scottish War Graves Project?

We're always looking for volunteers and would be very pleased if you were interested in helping us out.

The addresses of thesites are in my signature.

As David said, a very kind gesture. I wonder if you have ever come across the name of RSM John Chalmers, M.C., D.C.M., 2nd Scottish Rifles, anywhere in your travels around Aberdeen? I'm pretty sure that was where he hailed from, would love to know if he's commemorated on any war memorials in the area. He's still considered a hero among the old Cameronians today - must have been quite a chap.

Regards

Roy, I have need of the following photographs for the Register that I am preparing for eventual publication.

Moneymusk War Memorial - showing the name of Margaret Isabella Kathleen Durno, VAD and Annie Wilson, QARRNS.

I have seen photographs on the web showing these two names but I do not (yet) have permission to use them. So if these are convenient I would appreciate your getting them. Kind regards, Jim Strawbridge, Devon.
