Does anyone no anything about the bunker (Bremen redoubt) at the brickwork's in Zonnebeke being pulled down, as i visited it last week, and the staff at the brickwork's said it had fallen into a state of disrepair so it had to be destroyed. glare.gif

Cheers Max what a shame, its amazing how it survived all that time and then all of a sudden,it's gone. Could no one have tried to preserve it excl.gif

I think it is very common with these things - be it ancient bodies or wooden structures - Mother Nature does a great job of preserving underground...

I seem to remember there was also an issue with public liablity plus of course modern day 'tomb robbers' in the dead of night.
