does anyone know which batterys from the rga and rfa were operating at the above campaign, any info regarding arrival/departure and gun positions appreciated, rob

26th Indian Mountain Battery landed at Anzac Cove at 0900 hours on 25th April 1915. 1 (NSW) Field Artillery Brigade (FAB), 2 (Victoria) FAB, 3 (Queensland) FAB, New Zealand FAB, and New Zealand Field Howitzer Battery were all got ashore over 'many days'.

No gunners landed at Y Beach with the men of 29th Division, who subsequently withdrew.

4th Highland Mountain Brigade RGA and 97th Battery were due to land on S Beach on the first day. The latter did not get ashore until 30th April.

At V Beach, 26th Field Battery, 4 guns of the Argyllshire Battery RGA, and a section of 92nd Battery were ashore by the evening.

On the night of 26/27, 15th Brigade RHA landed at Cape Helles.

By 30th April, 17th Brigade RFA, 147th Brigade RFA, 460th Howitzer Battery (4.5"), 90th Heavy Battery RGA (60 pdrs), and 14th Siege Battery RGA (6" howitzers) were also ashore.

5th East Lancashire Battery arrived 14th May, 6th landed on 15th. 3rd East Lancs Brigade RFA and 4th Lancs Howitzer Brigade arrived 23/24 September.

4th Lowland Howitzer Brigade arrived less 5th Battery on 21st June, the latter arrived 3 days later.

55th, 56th and 57th Brigades RFA arrived in August.

58th Brigade landed at Anzac Cove on 9th August, then moved to Suvla on 16th August. 59th Brigade landed at Suvla on 7 and 9th August.

66th Brigade RFA landed at Helles on 26th July, while the 69th Howitzer Brigade landed at Anzac on 15-19th July.

Would you happen to know if there were any RGA or RFA men on board the SS River Clyde?
